Configuring the Surveillance Client > General Settings > Keep objects on screen when changing layout

By default, when you select a new layoutm the system will clear the screen so that the new layout is displayed empty (unless the "Remember last tile when switching layouts" option is selected). However, with this option selected, the system will keep the camera, or objects, that are already on screen and populate the next layout, thus allowing the user to "open up more space" for creating views. If the selected layout has fewer spaces than the number of objects on screen, the system will remove the excess objects.
